Benaulim is is a beach town a little south of Margoa. It is a town of immense natural beauty, located along the scenic south goa coastline. Benaulim's main market is located at Maria Hall which is about 2 km away from the beach. Benaulim has 2 beaches first Benaulim beach which is the prime beach and secondly Vaddi beach which is less congested and developed than Benalim beach. This is the beach which offers you peace and tranquility, must for relaxation and family outing. Variety of eating joints are there to cater to your taste buds.
Colva is a village with Colva beach which stretches to 2.4 km, the beach consists of about finest powder white sand and is lined along its shore by coconut palms extending furthest towards Bogmalo in the north and Cabo de Rama in the south along South Goa's coastline. In the Portuguese governance days it used to be the retreat for Goa's high society, who would come to Colva for holidays. Today the area that is reminiscent of this age are the beautiful houses or villas, including many ruins that dot the village. Here one can find plenty of budget hotels, guest houses, beach shacks, food stalls, small restaurants, pubs and bars Majority of the local people are historically and presently fishermen by occupation. Currently Colva is a famous tourist destination of South Goa enjoyed for its whitish-silver sands and called the fishing village of South Goa.
Varca is a small town in South Goa and renowned for it beaches, hence it has become a popular destination for tourists. The row of wooden fishing boats seen on the beach belong to the Christian fishing community. Varca is a beautiful beach with many resorts lined up along the beach giving you the luxury of enjoying beach holiday in peace and tranquility as this beach is not frequented by many tourists. The Our Lady of Gloria church is considered one of the oldest building in Varca. It is still operational with locals and many tourists attending it services.
Majorda Beach is one of the famous beaches of South Goa and well connected to Margoa . The beach is home to many good luxury and budget hotels which caters to all type of tourist. As per Indian mythology, Lord Rama, one of the Indian god who was incarnation of Lord Vishnu was kidnapped and brought here in his childhood. He again came to this place when he was searching for his wife “Sita” when she was kidnapped by “Ravana”
